EAST END, Tortola, VI - Police have confirmed our first and accurate story today, November 29, 2016 that a woman was brutally chopped about her body by a male assailant.

In a press release, police said it was in search of a male suspect following an apparent domestic incident at a residence in the Crabbe Hill area of East End last night where a woman received severe wounds to her arms and body.

Wanted is 51-year-old Renold Leslie Peters, a native of St Vincent and resident of Spring Ghut. He is known by the nickname 'Vince'. He is approximately 6ft tall and between 160 and 170 lbs.

Anyone who has seen and knows the whereabouts of Peters is asked to call the RVIPF three-digit access number 311 or give this information at any police station around the island.

Your comment makes you an idiot. When the government hit the Vincent I answered with a visa restriction, other countries need to put a restriction on virgin islanders *and yes I'm a virgin islander*
You virgin islanders who use the *I from here* mentality make this country the rut it is today. You make us look bad. No you didn't say it but you're implying it.
To say that the government needs to do such is making hard working and nice (for a lack of a better word) Vincentians seem to be filled with hate and disgust especially towards women.
When 'tolians' go off island to other countries and they make our country look bad by stealing and killing what would you say? They need to put a visa restriction for Tolland there too right?
One persons mistake doesn't mean that the entire country needs to be punished. Yes he did something wrong. I'm not on his side but your comments are unnecessary and uncalled for especially when you're not a real tolian anyway. So I suggest if you have nothing nice to say from now on... keep it pressed.

It sickens me of what this man did. It also sickens me of the stupid comments voiced on this topic. So what if he's Vincentian. It unfair how we are quick to tag a nationality or religion to a heinous act. A human being did something terrible to another human.
    • Why (29/11/2016, 18:18) Like (9) Dislike (4) Reply
WE TAG NATIONALITY BECAUSE IT IS SOMETHING THEY DO OFTEN!! Most of the violent domestic incidents in this territory involve Vincentian men. Don't you read the news??? Should we just ignore this??

@Why, true. I'm saying it and I don't care who gets mad. It is true. Those St. Vincent men is always beating up and being cruel to women. I am willing to charter a plane to fly them back to St.Vincent with a $100.00 US dollars if they agree not to come back.
      • @ why (30/11/2016, 01:52) Like (6) Dislike (1) Reply
No, we should not ignore this. Nor should we ignore any incident that affects us. The point you made about domestic violence is inaccurate. There are many cases of DV that go un noticed and or unpunished. We must stop labeling a terrible act to a nationality. It creates division and animosity, just like what's being portray here. So to extend your point, white people are slave owners, black people are thugs, Arabs are terrorists, and hispanics are drug lords. That's why I love animals.

We need to screen people coming SVG and some other places to the Virgin Islands. The same things they practice in their home countries they bring here. It is time to send some home and put a stop to entry for some. This government must evaluate themselves and see how far down the road they have taken this country. We do not need vagrants from other countries. Let us deal with our own. There are enough people in. These islands to do the work. Get rid of the ad Jonas.

Good ladies or good men, before giving yourself to anyone you MUST take a long time to know them. They may beg and cry to be with you but you MUST take a long time to know them. What are their intentions, motivations. Who are their families and friends? Spend time with them because that may give you a hint. How do they contribute to their community. By his deeds shall a man be known and also by his fruits. What have they accomplished on their own or are they feeding off a woman or man? Also, if you are trying to leave a relationship of any kind, do not do it alone. Have a few friends accompany you. Or if an abusive relationship, have friends AND officers. Pray to God for guidance. I am sorry to hear about this story. May God be his judge.

To all, including the off shoots of StVincent parentage who are referring and implying that they are Tolians.
St Vincent is internationally renown for disrespect to women and heinous domestic vioence. The United Nations have St Vincent on their agenda currently and for many years regarding a solution to this anomaly but so far nothing works.
Vincentians and their savagery in the BVI is the workings of the BVI's Immigration policies. There is no shortage of immigrants vying for entrance to the BVI. Bvi can and should be discerning and take into consideration the general character and characteristics of a country and its people and what they can positively contribute to these Islands.
Importing from a cannibalistic society makes little sense..taking people out of a country does not take the country out of them including their cravenous appetites for blood and debauchery.

Wendy, that's a terrible thing to say. Although I know where the hate is spewing from. #terrible
Cannibalistic society? They eat people now? you're worse than FOX news...well from my experiences, St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a beautiful country with beautiful people alike...nothing is too great of them to give. I was always taken back by their kindness. I feel for the decent people of the island nation they don't deserve such criticism because of a few sick nuts. Every island has people with different temperments.
      • Wendy (30/11/2016, 21:34) Like (7) Dislike (3) Reply
Figuratively, cannibalism is "an act in which one thing takes over another of the same kind". Frequent and predictable domestic violence is and has been an ongoing and a traditional problem in SVG. The United Nations would not be addressing the SVG problem in an effort to find a solution if it was not chronic, predictable and simply out of control. I have no doubt that there are people in that Island Nation as you have described but, realistically and unfortunately, they are there and we are here experiencing something different. The VI needs to take steps for its survival and removing and/or deny entry to those whose history spells trouble would be the sensible course of action.
        • Technical (02/12/2016, 13:29) Like (2) Dislike (0) Reply
Well Wendy, the United Nations which you have referred to and seem to have extensive knowledge about should extend their concerns to other countries let's say Saudi Arabia for example or the good old U.S. of A.(check the news). Let's dig deeper shall we...gender oppression and abuse is even more prominent in non-Christian cultures where women are to speak when spoken to or avoid taking part in activities with their male counterparts. Any violation of these practices can lead to public beating and even beheading. I've known numerous Vincentian families living in these Virgin Islands for decades without incident. As a matter of FACT, the Office of Gender Affairs in 2016 released a report stating that domestic violence is more prevalent amongst VIslanders; more cases of Tola men beating women than any other nationality. You on the other hand seem to have a personal vendetta against the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines...I hope you are one day cured of your bias. For the VI to survive, as you have stated should start by looking at themselves not blaming others for their present state that's downright CHILDISH!!

Wendy I am with you. I am tired of hearing about these Vincetian men. I have a friend who was dating one and every time they had a disagreement he would go outside and sharpen his cutlass. There are so many unreported abuse by these men. It is just time to limit their entry into our country. Enough is enough!

It is time to send the St.Vincent people back home. They are trouble. They love to chop people. Yes, locals commit crimes and robbery but, most of the others crimes is committed by the St. Vincent people or their children. It is time to start cleaning the Swamp.

The Vincy's on blast big time. Maybe now they will stay out of drama and stop starting drama. I agree, bounce them out of this Country ASAP. How come the other people from other Countries living here is not committing the volume of crimes and trouble makers like the Vincy's are?
