Leaving this week, cannot take this anymore. This place has turned into a war zone. I’ll come back when everything goes back to normal. I don’t want to be the innocent person in the wrong place at the wrong time.

@ Rebecca, haven’t you heard the saying, “what is for you will be for you”. I don’t mean to punch a hole in your tire. Yes you may decide to leave the island and return when things are back to normal, but how do you know where you are going is the right place at the right time? A stray bullet can heat you from anywhere whether you are in the right place or the wrong place.

@just saying. Yes you are correct that we never know what or where things might happen, but I am suffering like so many others from the trauma of the flood and hurricanes. I am a BVIlander and my home has been destroyed by all of the aforementioned events. Emotionally I can’t now handle neighbors getting killed so close. I need a break for now, maybe I am not as strong as you, but still leaving for a while and yes someone is watching my property. Thank you.

With the entry of Port so open to the point anyone can easily get a gun into the territory, crimes will increase alot. Do you know how easy it is to bring in a gun and drugs on the ferry these days because the officers dont search everyone? They certainly didnt search me the other day I came in. There's no machine to walk through. Get a tighter grip on Port of entrance!!! You are letting these criminals get guns too easy.

All I can say is law abiding citizens, be aware of your surroundings. Hard to say but, since these thugs, gangbangers hoodlums or whatever you call them don't want to take heed, let them kill each other off. They don't care about themselves then why should we. Let them wipe each other out. Just keep your aim away from innocent people and children. Let them have a field day wiping each other out. Less problems for the police.

There is absolutely no need to close all Bars and Night Clubs if it did not Happen their. The police needs the Man power and Patrol in most Districs individually especially the Districs with activities until Morning. let there presence been scene and do their jobs while on Patrol with any weed, transportation, loud music and loitering of groups etc. these are normally police routines that police does when there are an increase of violence across the Island. Matthew and other officers attends siminars and learn nothing or implement anything. Simple do that and the crimes will decrease.

@ street reporter: you understand how policing functions even in big countries like the USA the police conduct covert operations; sting operations and use paid informants however we live on 24 square miles and our police is willing to sit back until a crime is perpetrated then expect the community to solve the matter for them: will a child go home and say to a parent I just shot 2 persons.......if your information leads to the arrest you might have to offer testimony in court:my question to some of us, take a few minutes from your busy schedule and review crime in our country under Mr Malone and Mr Frazer: all of us need to face the actual facts in relation out of control criminal behaviour in our territory: I grow up in a tranquil place(60 years) what going on now is mind blowing and simply getting worst day by day

Sorry to Say,but it seems like not much people seem to care or were affected by the MURDER OF AN INNOCENT CHILD,and that says a lot about our society. A few Government Ministers were present at the candlelight vigil and her funeral, but there should have been more of an outcry from the government and also the community. It seems like the MURDER of TRINITY in NOVEMBER was just the tip of the iceberg because things got worse after that. We heard talk of STREET JUSTICE, one can only wonder if that was a serious talk or just "crazy talk. And it is quite obvious the KILLERS of TRINITY are cold and heartless and I will have to say the same for those who know the KILLERS and remained quiet....she had just turned 11 SMH 11yrs old

Had a chance to speak with the visiting police as well and they thought the BVI was at the tipping point and we needed to act fast to save our country from this very same road. Once we go there, it’s hard turning back. And now here we are a few short months later where these punks need a real shakedown. I say we bring those cops back and whatever other brute force is necessary to show these undesirable punks that we mean business. We are taking back our country, of for nothing else, that innocent little girl named Trinity. I didn’t know her, but I feel as if she was my own child.

Doing your job and doing it properly are two different things. Those 2 officers acted unlawfully and sufferered the consequence. Wrong can’t be right just because you are a police officer. Proper functioning officers who behave appropriately and lawfully and actually do their jobs are welcomed by all residents.

It is impossible for the police to know something before it happens. Yes, if there was proper patrol and lighting as it should be, that would deter criminals from being so relaxed about not getting caught. Police presence stops many people from doing things, which means people will live to see another day.

Therefore we the people of the British Virgin Islands will hold His. Excellency the Governor, who is the head of the Police Force, the Commissioner of Police and his team accountable. There is a serious breakdown in society. All of this madness starts from the home and spills over into society. Parents break up and then the children go astray. Some parents are not qualified to be parents at all. Mothers, not because the father is not in the home you just sit back and let the child run wild! Get up and fight for your child or else you will be in the Courthouse and then visiting the jail or you will be planning your child's funeral.

Mothers if your children like with you, do you think that you should go to sleep peacefully and do not know where your child is? When single mothers begin to get radical and go and look for their child/children in the midnight hour instead of going to bed and that child is like a man turning his own key and coming in your house in the wee hours of the morning. Parents you also need to search your children rooms, know who their friends are!! Stop acting blind and deaf! Many of these home have weapons that shed innocent blood and the parents do not know a thing because they allow their child/children to do what they want. If your child is not the one paying mortgage, why does he have a key to come in all hours of the night? or morning.

Mothers/Fathers you must be seeing something suspicious about your child but you are turning a blind eye, but one of these days you will hold your head and bawl!

GET UP! FIGHT FOR YOUR CHILDREN! THE DEVIL IS AFTER THE MALE SEED!
