Adory R. Baly takes to the stage @ Miss Universe tonight

With Miss World now complete, persons in the Virgin Islands are now focusing their attention on the 2015 Miss Universe pageant where the territory is being represented by Miss British Virgin Islands 2015/2016, Adorya R. Baly.

The 64th annual Miss Universe beauty pageant will take place tonight, December 20, 2015 where 80 contestants from around the world will compete for the title during the three-hour broadcast from Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The competition is expected to start at 7pm EST on FOX and the winner will be crowned at around 10pm EST.

The public relations arm for Ms Baly, if there is one, has been poor as there have not been updates given to the Virgin Islands public about Miss Baly’s progress in Las Vegas.

A check on her Facebook page today, December 20, 2015 had several posts, one of which read, “When I was young I dreamt of being a superstar I still dream that dream.”

The pageant tonight will be hosted by Emmy winner Broderick Stephen 'Steve' Harvey and Rush Hour 2 actress Roselyn Sanchez.

Emmy Award-nominated actress Niecy Nash, celebrity entertainment mogul Perez Hilton, 2012 Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and football legend Emmitt Smith will be part of the judges for the event. The three-hour event will see performances by Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Seal and Grammy Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry and Golden Globe and Grammy Award-nominated Charlie Puth.

Meanwhile, there has been no official statement from Washa O. E. Wintz’s camp either on her progress and experience at Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China. Wintz had placed in the Top 13 of the Talent Segment.

Miss Spain Mireia Lalaguna Royo was crowned Miss World 2015 on December 19, 2015.

I am surpeised that her public relations is so weak and her mother use to run GIS

With GIS you just put out propaganda about the government of the day unfiltered or unchallenged. Running the PR for a Queen you have to have facts, creativity, staying power, and you have to be able to coordinate and work with the Miss BVI Committee and its open to debate and blogs.

Find out if she can hand that?

Just don't read the comments until after you're show tonight for we know how much BVI love their very own.

I personally wish you the best & only ask you do your best. It's not easy road for anyone to be on a big stage especially when the whole world is watching... If you're nervous it's because it's a big dream, but hear this- the other ladies are just as nervous as you...
I leave you with my favorite qoat about view on life.

"Life is like a camera, just focus on what's important capture the good times and development the negatives , if thing's don't work out just take another shot"

You're a winner & myself and many others are cheering for you tonight... After you're mission and ready to whine down, do contact us for a tour on us as I'm sure you and the team have been very busy. Agin advance - Thank you for representing the BVI.

It is clear that the system is rigged in so many ways for ladies from the small islands outside of Jamdown and Trini that it is difficult even to see how she can place

miss Colombia wasn't surprise she didn't win. She was the worst on all of the questions. Just another pretty face and nothing more. Miss Philippines won fair and square. The crown is exactly where it should be and not because Trump hates Latinos.
