Belle Vue has been neglected. Look how the boys keep the corner(block) where they hang out all day and night....cars and bikes parked right by the corner making it difficult to drive through. The only time you see police up here is when something happens. You never see police driving through and breaking up the group and stopping their illegal activities.

All those boys do is lime. They need something constructive to do like community work. Only wasting time sitting around talking. They'll have to account for all that wasted time someday.

If they peddle drugs it does. When those that buy from them get high do they care who they attack, injure or steal from. They when drug peddlers turn on themselves, do they care who gets hurt when they start to pelt bullets.

It all trickles down to a menace to society.

some of us talking bull have far more criminals where we are from than in BVI. since when it is again the law for people to gather in a neighborhood where they born and raised. for years people gathered by the well or under the tree in the village where them from now its a crime. in other caribbean islands there is a killing evey five minutes thats why some of you rush from your own island and make bvi your home

Every body talking about the youths. Is there anyone who really understands what these young people go through. The question what are we doing to help them. You see everyone can talk but everyone is not willing to act. Time to change that mind set. Who give them a listening ear? who emphasizes with them? Who who stop bashing and put your money where your mouth is. All the youths are not the same How do you and everyone value them is the challenge. Male and female needs our help try to reach out to them in some way or form less the criminal will utilize them. Think about it and value them for they will be the future.

You and I must help them to be the future take some time out and pay more attention to them. Let our living not be in vain. Shalom

Or the criminal will utilize them...interested but wen we speak of the criminal I quest it those youths before that was utilized by the so called criminal..!! But who and what is this force or forces that give energy to this vicious cycle of utilizing our innocent youths to in turn have them to to continue it utilization of innocent youth to menacing youths...I wonder ! But that the real issues that got to be address and we all stop pointing fingers..for most of us know it a force of international neglection ..misleads misundeucated...etc and etc and the list go on and on ....so now this is wat we reap

You are so right. We should be putting pressure on those in charge of the education system to do BETTER. The BVI has the funds to do this but they refuse to invest in the education of our young people. Look at every sitting minister for the last 10 years - did ANY of their children finish school here in the BVI? NO. They sent them away to get a better education elsewhere. They aren't interested in investing the youth BUT imagine the impact it would have if they did! We also have the resources for a fully funded afterschool program for all children up to 18 (similar to YEP) - it would create many new jobs for adults and a safe space for our children to grow..... BUT again... this has to come from the top and the top aren't interested!

point taken .however we have females from dominican republic hustling here selling cat and those movements are against the laws of the territory, crime is crime. visit long bush or visit main street or visit sea cows bay the latinos gathering by day and gathering by night so it is well and good for people to come bvi and gather but those of us are criminals to gather in your own home town, what ah ting !!! mr white & mrs white gathering in their private villas using the white powder with the straws up there nostrils and such behavior is well and good but when more than two negros stand up in public, look at those criminals

      try go sit down
any race or creed breaking laws should be punished. people in the country holding permits
working 9 & 10 jobs that also unlawful but that is not an issue but once your navel string buried here look puon talk and commentary

Why the dog didn’t bite the shooter? Why the shooter didn’t shoot the dog? Aren’t dogs kept for protection? Why didn’t the dog bark to alert the owner? Seems like the dog knows the shooter.

Maybe the gun shots distracted the dog, they scare off bears. Pretty sure the dog would of got one if it was thinking of attacking.
I do think the shooter had a revolver as there is no talk of shells being found and the reason that man is alive... he run out of shots and you don't empty a pistol just to teach a man a lesson.
Absolutely sure the victim knows the shooter. Pistol whipping someone after shooting them is a very personnel act.
