ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Following its latest victory in St Thomas, Assistant trainer, Enos Z. Aaron said Leave it to Bern will race any other horse that is placed before the team of the Boys Stables at the moment.

Aaron didn’t express much concern about talks that the team was mounting a challenge against VI Triple Crown winner and champion horse, Really Uptown, owned by Tortola’s L&B Stables.

He noted that while the VI Triple Crown was some way off and a few races away, the Boys Stables will be taking the races one day at a time.

The assistant trainer said ‘Bern’ is currently feeling well and doing everything well. “We’ll devise a strategy for the next race day which will be in Tortola and whoever they bring, we’ll have to run,” he said.

Aaron added, “all the work that we put in for the last three and a half weeks to a month really paid off in the win.”

Leave it to Bern finished first in its second consecutive race in the space of a few weeks in the Liberty Day Classic, the fifth race of the day for the Triple Tiara Crown on October 27, 2013.

The horse previously blazed the trail in setting a new track record in the Joseph "Bob Love" Sprauve Memorial Race on September 15, 2013 in the first leg of the Triple Tiara Crown.

Head of the St Thomas-St John Horseracing Association, Wystan Benjamin, said while some rain may have affected the track over the last week or so it was dried out and performed well under the circumstances.

He felt the races were competitive and went well also and expressed pride at being a member of the horseracing association in this regard. “Three of the horses that we actually brought in and sold, were winners today,” Benjamin related. Angel’s Rock, on debut, was among these winners.

Stephen Got Better again won in the feature race of the Triple Crown, defeating Mae Ruler, OhBabyObeyMe and Bluegrass Rumor.

Benjamin said he expected good matchups for the final leg of the Triple Crown, which will be run on December 8, 2013.

Meanwhile, President of the VI Horse Owners Association, Mrs Karen Smith-Aaron said she was pleased with Bern’s performance and once again looked forward to his next outing.

November 17, 2013 is expected to be the next race date in Tortola after races were postponed in September.
