UPDATE: BVIFA National League resumes with triple header on Sat. Jan 12
The opening clash at 4 P.M. is set to be quite an interesting contest as it pits the in-form Wolues against the significantly and never-say-die Haitian Stars.
Wolues currently lead Group B with 9 points from 4 games while Haitian Stars are 4th on 5 points from a win, 2 drawn games and a narrow loss to One Love.
The other game to follow on Saturday would be a bottom of the table clash in Group B from 6 P.M. and will involve Rebels FC and VG United.
Rebels FC have 4 points while VG United are yet to get off the mark.
The final game for the opening day will see Sugar Boys matching skills with Old Madrid from 8 P.M. in Group A.
Three more games will follow on Sunday January 13, 2013 with Ballstarz battling East End, One Love meeting Panthers FC and Lucian Stars coming up against powerhouse Islanders FC.
Meanwhile, the BVIFA is reminding players that the transfer window is open until the end of January.

Islanders the only unbeaten team in BVIFA League
The fixtures are not yet out for the resumption of the BVIFA League but whenever action resumes on January 12, 2013 much attention will be placed on Islanders, who are the team to watch as they have been dishing out a thrashing so far.
Islanders are so far unbeaten in Group A after four games and have scored some 24 goals while just conceding 4 for an impressive goal difference of 20.
The Terry Evans Cup holders also top the group with 12 points while Old Madrid are second on 9 points having lost one of their four games. They also have a goal difference of 7 having scored 12 and conceding 5.
Islanders had opened the 2012-2013 BVI Football Association National league with a 12-1 blowout victory over a defenseless East End squad.
Sugar Boys and Ball Starz both have 6 points but Sugar Boys have a superior goal difference of 6 as against Ball Starz’s -3.
East End are 5th on the points table with 3 while Lucian Stars are yet to register a point having lost all four of their games played to date.
Group B is being led by Wolues, who have 9 points from three wins and a draw and a goal difference of 9. One Love also have 9 points but with a goal difference of 5.
Police Panthers are third on 7 points while the surprise package of the League so far, Haitian Stars, are nipping on their heels with 5 points from two drawn games, a win and a loss.
Rebels have 4 points from four games while VG United are in the cellar with four losses.
