ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Car lovers and bike riders came out on Saturday August 5, 2017 to support the BVI Motors Sports Association (BMSA) for its annual Festival Car Exhibition at the Old Traffic Parking Lot located next to One Stop Mall in Road Town.

A total of 16 registered vehicles participated in the BMSA Car Exhibition competition.

Showcase category winners are as follows:

Best Factory Car- Sheerwood (Blue Acura TSX) received a cash prize of $200.

Best Aftermarket Car- Tony (Supra) was awarded a cash prize of $200.

Best Bike and Factory Truck – “Pookie” (Black Dodge Ram) received cash prizes totaling $350.

Best Rims – McDonald (White Chevy Camaro) was awarded dinner for two at Peter Island Resort and Spa.

The sound category was judged based on Sound Pressure Level (SPL) and Sound Quality Level (SQL).

The winners were:

SPL Category 1 – Rodney Beharry (Green Honda Civic) 153.1db – received a cash prize of $300

SPL Category 2 – Niko (Red, Black and White Dodge Durango) 151.1db - received a cash prize of $250

SPL Category 3 – Ceon Hartman (Orange and Black Honda Civic) 147.9db - received a cash prize of $200

SPL Category 4 - Keith DeCastro (White Nissan Pathfinder) 142.4db - received a cash prize of $150

SQL - Evroy Barth (Silver Suzuki XL-7) - received a cash prize of $200

It was a showcase of the best of the best when the BVI Motors Sports Association (BMSA) held its annual Festival Car Exhibition at the Old Traffic Parking Lot located next to One Stop Mall on Saturday August 5, 2017.

Vehicle and bike owners came out and showcased their rides in an effort to see who has the best truck, SUV and bike.  

Speaking with our news reporter, Sasha C. Lewis stated that she has supported the car exhibition since the day they held the first car show.

She said, “I am a car and bike fanatic, so I am always here to see some of the baddest rides on Tortola,” adding that she has never entered the competition but intends to do so when she is ready.

She further commented that when she enters she intends to win and she believes she can win because she knows exactly what the judges are looking for.

Some of the showcase categories that has been  judged are: Best of Show, Best Rims, Best Paint Job, Best SUV and Best Car.

The sound category is judged based on different classes such as amateur, street, modified, and radical class.

Entertainment for the kids was also a part of the exhibition, and included a bouncy castles. A dance and modeling competition was included in the entertainment. The winners of each segment will receive cash prizes and trophies.

Results for the show will be provided as they become available.
