The pageant will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Multi Purpose Sports Complex at 7 P.M.

Competing under the theme, “Lights! Camera! Action! Capture the Moment”, the contestants in the 2012/2013 Miss Fifth Form Pageant are Akeila Louis, La’Quan Reid, Kadian Johnson, Sherise Stapleton and Armoy James.

Speaking with the Department of Information and Public Relations, Elmore Stoutt High School Pageant Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Bisa Smith stated, “Each year we strive to ensure that the standards by which the BVI community holds the pageant are not only maintained, but are exceeded. With the showcase being held in the Lent term, we have embraced our long desire to have the winners’ reign during their final year of high school.”

Mrs. Smith added, “It is our intent to start preparations at the start of the new school year. As such, contestants would be expected to use that time for rehearsals and prep work.”

Training workshop sessions were scheduled during November and focused on Time Management, Personal Branding, Fitness and Exercise, Skincare and Make-Up Techniques, Interview Techniques, Public Speaking and Presentation, Social Etiquette, and Table Etiquette.

In order to qualify for the pageant, interested students must be in Fourth Form with a minimum GPA of 3.7(B) for the current school year. They must be poised, talented and intelligent, with a confident and dynamic presence.

Contestants must also be team oriented and show respect for authority, rules and the disciplinary policies of the schools in relation to conduct and uniform regulations.
