VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Any day now, world-renowned The Baths and Devil’s Bay in Virgin Gorda will be reopened to the general public after undergoing several enhancements.

Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley (R9) said on May 17, 2020, he “took the opportunity to tour The Baths and Devil’s Bay National Parks ahead of their opening to the public.”

“I must say I am very pleased with the repairs that I have seen so far and the enhancements of the rest stops, the gazebos, the new trails and the expanded trails.

“When you come back to The Baths, you too will be very pleased with the enhancements we have done just for your visiting experience,” he added.

The Baths and Devil’s Bay are the only beaches that were not reopened on May 10, 2020.

Safety measures will be enforced

While persons can access the majority of the beaches in the Virgin Islands, it will be from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm daily, and no gatherings of any kind, no animals, no unlicensed vending will be permitted.

Meanwhile, sanitisation and social distancing will be enforced by members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and beach wardens, Hon Wheatley had warned on May 9, 2020.

The improvements to the rest areas, gazebos, additional paths, and widened pathways have been great additions, and I'm happy with what I've seen thus far. phrazle
