ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The fashion world is buzzing about the 10th Anniversary of Summer Sizzle British Virgin Islands (BVI) being held in the Virgin Islands (VI).

Fashion lovers will rejoice with this epic four-day fashion event scheduled from July 26, 2018 to 29, 2018 with celebrity host Nigel Barker—world renowned photographer, TV personality, author and former judge of America’s Next Top Model.

The participants are eager to help rebuild, restore, and revive the VI and inspire the next generation who were affected by last year’s hurricanes, according to Terry T. Donovon, founder of the event.

 This year’s event officially kicks off with the Hurricane Relief Community Service Programme, where volunteers including models, designers and celebrities will participate. They will also help in efforts for obtaining and distributing school supplies to students.

Six top Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) students were awarded a beauty makeover with hair and makeup by the Summer Sizzle BVI glam squad on their graduation day on Thursday July 26, 2018. The students are Beyonce Defrietas, Shamika Langford, Smeralda Avril, Vincia Peters, Janique Gordon and Kytwana Auguste.

Thursday July 26

Summer Sizzle BVI festivities will kick off on Thursday with the Welcome Party at Trellis Bay Market, Bar & Grill, Beef Island at 8:00 PM, where guests will enjoy the island’s cuisines and Oceanside ambience.

 Friday July 27

The Virgin Islands Schools of Technical Studies and Summer Sizzle BVI have also collaborated and created free workshops for students from ESHS, Bregado Flax Educational Centre and The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies who are interested in the world of fashion hairstyling, makeup and photography as a way of giving back to the community at the institution in Baugher’s Bay, Tortola.

The workshops are also available to adults with interest in those areas at a fee.

 Friday July 27

‘White & Wakanda’ at JY Harbour View Marina where prizes will be awarded to the best dressed female and male for the most creative outfit based on the theme. The event will feature amazing art by Roma Osowo Studios.

 A portion of the proceeds from the White & Wakanda Fashion Gala will be donated to The Family Support Network.

 Saturday July 28

The most anticipated  10th Annual Global Glamour Runway Show, will transform the VI into a fashion mecca on  Saturday July 28, 2018 at the  Save The Seed Community Centre, Duff’s Bottom, 7:30pm.

 The VIP Ticket holders Cocktail Reception will run from 6:30PM to 7:30PM

The show will feature both local and international models and designers, and a newly best dressed competition for its guests and you can’t miss the kids who will rock the runway.

Designer Line up includes: Gustavo Moscoso, Cesar Galindo, Yumi Katsura, Roger Gary, The Islander, Christina Goddard, Andrew Nowell, Toni Whitaker, Pri-vi-lege, Nikini Resortwear, K. Rose Carlton Jones and Edwing D’Angelo and BVI designers Kristin Frazer, Andrea Wilson, Germain Smith.

Following the Show the VIP After Party will be at Aromas at Tortola Pier Park.

Sunday July 29

The event concludes on Sunday, July 29, 2018 with the Sailing Excursion & Beach BBQ on the sister island of Virgin Gorda.

The Ticket outlets are: Tortola, Hazem Beauty Supplies, Island Roots, Studio One Salon, Bob’s Gas, Beans Coffee and Camdem Market at Tortola Pier Park, On Virgin Gorda, Speedy’s and St. Thomas, Native Son and Urban Threadz.

    Great event for the BVI....BUT on the other hand Mr. Terry Donovan need to pay all his deaths before he leaves the BVI year after year as he returns to America. He is not a nice person at all.

      It plain out said at the institution in Baugher's Bay. I do believe that is where the VI Technical School is located.
