CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- A man who was found dead in a rental property in Kronprinsense Gade, St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI), is said to have hanged himself, according to [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman, who reported the incident yesterday Wednesday January 24, 2017.

According to Ms Freeman, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at approximately 5:21 P.M. a citizen called the 911 emergency call centre and reported that his tenant had hanged himself. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers observed a black male hanging from a ceiling rafter of the apartment.

The deceased was examined by an emergency medical technician, who indicated that the victim had no vital signs. The VIPD said the victim’s identity was being withheld pending next of kin notification.
