Teens to be charged in apparent joy-ride sprees

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Virgin Gorda Police have so far charged five teenagers in connection to a series of apparent joy-riding sprees on Virgin Gorda, however, further arrests are likely as enquiries continue.

Six vehicles were reported damaged by various rental companies on the sister island.

Lead investigator Detective Constable Quacey Cooper says that the vehicles were illegally removed from different ports left there for collection by various car rental agencies and found later abandoned and damaged at locations around the island. 

All five teenagers, ranging in age from 14 to 17, were charged with taking a conveyance and criminal damage.
