SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI - One may never know if he is preparing for a career after politics or just doing his normal rounds as a politician.

However, Third District Representative and Leader of the Opposition Hon Julian Fraser RA, has become a signature at one of the many schools in his district. He made one of his regular visits to the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School (ETPS) in Sea Cows Bay on June 7, 2016.

Hon Fraser who seems to be loved by the ETPS students, who all know his name and said it in unison, was there to give some motivational and inspirational words to the First Grade students.

While not wanting to play politics with the Education system like the Minister for Education and Culture Hon Myron V. Walwyn, the longtime Third District Representative Hon Fraser said, “Teacher Iesha Forbes of the class insisted that I do it each year.”

While Hon Fraser is not the only elected official who visits the many schools in their districts, as Hons Alvera Maduro-Caines (R6), Melvin ‘Mitch’ Turnbull (R2), Andrew A. Fahie (R1) and Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) have regularly done much of the same at their districts' schools, however, Hon Fraser and the students and staff of the ETPS have a special bond going back some 16 plus years.

In fact Hon Fraser said that, “the first grade class has composed a special song which helps them to understand our government system.” The former Government Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Hon Fraser said, “I have asked the students to provide me with the lyrics.”

Some residents wish that we had these first graders to participate in the Territorial Song competition a few years ago.

Hon Fraser had the undivided and sustained attention of all the first graders, something hard to do for most teachers. Maybe Hon Fraser is preparing for a career after politics, or because of how popular he is among the primary school students they might be sending a message to the adults in the community.

The age old adage may still be relevant as “A little child shall lead them.”

Good that this Frasier man has a change of perspective because when he was in Government he was convinced that he had no time for the softer side of politics

This is exactly the kind of backward thinking why mvw has left the education system in such a state of disrepair. Successive governments suffer from the complacency syndrome, also known as paradigm paralysis, but was never so power hungry where you need permission to visit a school.

Hon. frazer continue to trust God and you shall see everything come to pass. You will be there for the 3rd district for many many years to come and do no like comments of people bring you down! You, yourself might have to MVW out of the hole that he is in. Continue to pray and ask God for his blood to cover you and the people of the 3rd district.

Wow Frazer gone from the scourge of the elections to a lovable teddy bear. Lets see if he can re-invent himself for the next elections and put another good licking on the "Juice"

Election or no election Hon Fraser is always in the school. He comes to talk to the students... He passes by the classrooms to make sure the teachers are comfortable. He also comes to assemblies to sing with the students and staff...Back off people let the man take credit for showing genuine interest in the students. OJ also helps out at ETPS...its not only about election... Love his soup...cant wait till culture day Hon. OJ
