GREAT HARBOUR, Jost van Dyke, VI- Probably unable to cope with the morning heat, a taxi ended up in the water at Great Harbour in Jost van Dyke today, June 2, 2017.

According to reports, the “driver’s foot slipped off the brakes” as he was backing up close to the sea side.

No one was reportedly injured. The motor vehicle reportedly belongs to 'Bunn' Chinnery.

The vehicle, however, was still in the water at the time of publication as, according to a resident of Jost van Dyke, the privately owned backhoe on the sister island is “broken down”.

The resident further said the state-owned backhoe was taken off island some three years ago “to fix a fan belt” and never returned.

This is a subtle issue. Many are unaware of this topic. I wonder when will VINO switch from our people and start to write about the other issues that are more deadly than our people who will change when elections come and go. Talk about the plan to find safe haven here, clandestinely make plans to dominate us because the threat of being a minority in their own country is bearing down on the Brits. The good ole Brits. People in the BVI calling for them, but have no idea what they are calling for. Better start reading some more about what's going on in the UK and being vigilant about planning for the future of our beloved BVI. Mine Eh!!

BVI's first water taxi service. All that is missing is the propeller and sign.
