Taste of the Caribbean: VI Mixologist Everson Rawlins strikes Gold
Rawlins was part of the eleven member team that participated in the 2019 edition of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's (CHTA) Annual Taste of the Caribbean Competition held from June 21-26, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami Florida.
He received gold in the Bartender of the Year Competition.
VI bags several medals
Several other members of the Virgin Islands Culinary Team also medaled at the prestigious event.
Radiance Modeste took Bronze in the Junior Chef Competition. Ariq Flax-Clarke copped Bronze in the Seafood category, Caswall Ponte took Silver in the Chef of the Year and Beef Competitions, Lakesha Barry won Silver in the Chocolate Competition and Lakeisha King took Bronze in the Pastry Chef Competition.
The VI copped Silver in the Team Competition.
The successful Virgin Islands Culinary Team returns to the territory today, June 26, 2019.

The guy who got the Gold Medal DID NOT WIN his drink was good enough to be rated at gold level.
The Silver for the team wasn't second place and shows how poor the team is.
Bronze is a joke its like a medal for competing as I stated earlier when this team was announced, nothing good came from this the only gold won was by a 5 year exp member.
