Swaggas edge Jr Avengers in Jr Division of Hon Fraser B/Ball League

- convincing wins for Splash Brothers & Talk Done in Senior Division

DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI – Swaggas got their campaign in the Junior Division of the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed Basketball League on a bright note as they handed Junior Avengers a 31-28 defeat on Sunday September 13, 2015 at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff's Bottom.

Adrian Taylor led the Swaggas with 9 points and 10 rebounds, K’ntenay Maduro added 8 points with 12 rebounds and Keshawn Esprit finished with 8 points, including a two pointer deep into the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

For the Junior Avengers, Malaki A. Smith notched 13 points with 8 rebounds and Shawn Morris Junior scored 5.

Unbeaten teams

Meanwhile, three teams remain unbeaten in the Julian Fraser Save the Seed Basketball League as the latest round of matches concluded on Sunday September 13, 2015 at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom.

The Blazers had guaranteed their 100% record was intact on Friday September 11 2015 with a win over Real Tool.

Splash Brothers made it four wins from four with a 127-48 demolition of the Young Starz. Ashfield Frett scored a league leading 40 points during the game; Travis Isaac notched a double of 17 points and 16 rebounds, whilst Shamoii Dagou finished with 21 points

West Gunners then handed Avengers another defeat to maintain their perfect start, 102-64. Rowan Victor scored 32 points, Ray Victor 24 and 13 rebounds and Bjorn Caleb 13 with 11 rebounds.

Over the weekend also, the Warriors handed Run It Red a third successive defeat, 86-80, with Juan Hatchett finishing with 30 points and 15 rebounds. Terrique Wattley had a game high 31 points and 23 rebounds, whilst Juron Jones notched 11.

Run It Red were led by 38 points from Sean 'Chino' Woods, who also picked up 11 assists and 11 steals.

To wrap up the weekend, Talk Done beat Spartans 88-60, with Brandon Riley scoring 23 points, Enrico Harrigan 15 with 10 rebounds, Shamarr George 13 with 17 rebounds and both Devonte Brewley and Jamoi Dore 10.

The Spartans got 13 points and 14 rebounds from Tyler Cameron, 10 points from Hakeem Penn and 9 from Lenroy Grant
