Suicide reported at Lindberg Bay beach in USVI

LINDBERG BAY, ST Thomas, USVI - A man is said to have hanged himself at the Lindberg Bay Beach early Tuesday morning, [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Media Specialist, Sakeeda Freeman has announced.

Ms Freeman said at about 6:45 A.M. today, the VIPD’s Major Crimes Unit travelled to the beach to investigate the report, and upon their arrival found an unresponsive Caucasian male hanging from a belt on an iron bar rail. The VIPD said there appeared to be no signs of foul play.

The deceased, whose identity police withheld pending next of kin notification, was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center’s morgue.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 340-774-2211, or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9807.

    Suicide is always so sad, that means the person felt there is nothing left to live for and that person was very depressed. Too bad he felt he didn’t have anyone to turn to.
