Sugar Boys & Rebels clash in Terry Evans Cup opener!

- Double elimination tournament kicks off on June 17, 2017

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Islanders FC will commence the defense of the Terry Evans Cup against Panthers FC on Sunday June 18, 2017, on the A.O. Shirley Grounds at 5:00 PM.

Following a Club Meeting last Saturday, June 10,, 2017 the draw was made for the Cup, which will be played in a double elimination format, meaning Clubs will get two bites of the cherry when it comes to progression through to the Final

The Sugar Boys, who lost the dramatic penalty shoot-out in last season’s Final, will open the 2017 competition on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the same venue when they face Rebels FC.

Other games

Other matches include, also on Sunday June 18, One Love FC against Wolues FC and then on June 24, VG United will face new boys Sea Argo at 7:00 PM.

Old Madrid will be awaiting the winner of the game between Sugar Boys and Rebels to play their first game, which is scheduled for June 25, 2017 at 5:00 PM.

Matches will continue at the AO Shirley Grounds on Saturday and Sunday, up until the Final, which will then take place at the BVI Football Association’s (BVIFA) new stadium location in East End/ Long Look, on July 16, 2017.
