Stage set for Prince & Princess & Miss Gorgeous shows
The Miss Gorgeous and Prince and Princess shows are scheduled for April 8 and 9, 2017 respectively at the Catholic Community Center in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.
Public Relations Officer of the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival Adrianna J. Soverall, said everything is going smoothly.
“Everything is going on very well we are looking out for people coming to the show next weekend,” Ms Soverall said in an interview with this news site on Friday March 31, 2017.
Prince & Princess Show
For the Prince and Princess Show on April 9, 2017, four will compete in Introductory, Talent, Creative and Evening/Formal Wear segments.
They are Contestant # 1 Hayden Nickie, Contestant # 2 Kamia Bascombe, Contestant # 3 Carlos Martinez and Contestant # 4 James Smith Jr.
Time change
“We are changing the time for the Prince and Princess Show. It was originally scheduled to 7:30 PM, but we are getting a lot of requests from persons who are planning to attend from Tortola and neighbouring islands; so we are going to move it up to 6:00 PM.”
So it will be running in accordance with the boat schedules as well because it is a kid’s show, and a lot of kids tend to support their peers. So we don’t want them out too late.”
The show will be held under the theme “Candy Land.”
Miss Gorgeous pageant
In the Miss Gorgeous pageant on April 8, 2017, three young ladies will be competing for the coveted title.
They are Contestant #1 Shamekah Smith, Contestant #2 Saungie Liburd and Contestant # 3 Tesan Gunzelle.
The venue is also the Catholic Community Center with show time set for 7:30 PM. The contestants will compete in: Introductory round, Talent, Evening Wear and Lingerie Wear.
The show will be held under the theme: Glitz and glamour.
The contestants were officially presented at the Miss Bold and Beautiful pageant held recently.
The Miss Virgin Gorda show will be the final show of the festivities.
