St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Timothy S. Harris kicked off his first full week in office by hosting a visiting delegation from Venezuela.

The Venezuelan group was led by Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez.

According to a statement, the two sides discussed “matters of mutual interest including St. Kitts and Nevis membership in ALBA, Petrocaribe projects and the status of other bilateral cooperation projects.”

The two sides reportedly agreed to get together for a follow up meeting “at the soonest available time.”

For her part, Rodriguez invited Harris to attend a “special commemorative function” in honour of late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
