St George’s Sec. Sch. to mark 10 years of excellence

PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI – The St George’s Secondary School will be launching its 10th anniversary celebrations with a ceremony on January 25, 2015 in the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in Paraquita Bay, Tortola.

The 10th anniversary is being celebrated under the theme ‘Celebrating a Decade of Excellence in Education’. The ceremony will take place at 3:00 PM.

Among the speakers at the event will be Premier Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, Third District Representative Hon Julian Fraser RA, Acting Principal Mrs. Faith-Anne Adams, and Chairman of the St. George’s Secondary School (SGSS) Board Gerard St. C. Farara, Q. C.

Speaking to Virgin Islands News Online today January 20, 2015, Public Relations Officer of the St George's Secondary School Vicki Samuel-Lettsome said, “We will be doing the unveiling of activities on that day so we don’t want to reveal too much. But the St George’s Secondary School will be celebrating a decade of excellence in education and it will be ten activities to commemorate the ten years it has been in existence.”

She said too that the activities which will take place from January to June 2015 will be done by past and present alumni and members of the faculty.
