Some are awed by the white man – Magistrate John
At the time, the court was hearing evidence from the prosecution’s witness, a police officer, in the matter of Jonathan Turnbull who was before the court on charges of wounding and criminal damage.
Magistrate John questioned the absence of a medical report as the evidence was being given and related that the Police medical form that had been submitted as part of the prosecution’s evidence was sometimes not enough to help win a case.
He argued that two separate reports should be presented to the court with one bearing a detailed and professional medical analysis of any injury suffered by the Virtual Complainant (VC) and another indicating the circumstances of the incident and description of the injury as observed by the investigating officer.
However, Crown Counsel Herbert Potter argued, “We live in a society where doctors are not permanent”. He said while both reports are often sought out, the medical report is sometimes not received from the hospital to assist with prosecuting a case even when an application is made because doctors are often changed at the local hospital.
Magistrate John then questioned why medical reports were not received once applications were submitted and remarked, “Police tend to be awed by doctors, the same way that some people are awed by the white man.”
He encouraged the prosecution to subpoena doctors in related matters and added that the Crown would be surprised how fast they would turn up to testify in court.
Turnbull was eventually found guilty on the count of wounding and was fined and instructed to compensate the victim. He was found not guilty on the other charge.

The white guys actually came down from states to go over books because Mr Black Businessman was coming up short in the books. LOL The great WHITE shark was named that for a reason, white people's tenacity for money has no equal, Oh! Unless you count our current Ministers.
I am for a local being in positions but for the mentality most of them have they are poison most of the times because they get swell headed. They get corrupt and usually not efficient. I hope Dr. John stays on permanently and teach our green magistrate how to do her job impartially.
