ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Speaking to our news desk, former Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority, Claude O. Skelton Cline, has announced that he is now a member of the Opposition Virgin Islands Party (VIP).

He noted, “last week, I completed the requisite membership form and paid the annual dues to become a member of the VIP”.

The man who ran with the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) in 2011, for district two said, “ I have joined the VIP because what I see emerging from the team, in terms of the people, the policies and the principles, represents what the Territory needs and where it ought to be going.”

Skelton-Cline had a fall out with the NDP and has sued them when his contract was not renewed at the Ports Authority.  The case decision is still pending.

VIP loves its people-Skelton-Cline

Defending his decision to join the 40 year old VIP, the man of the cloth also stated, “I have joined the VIP because they have a history of trusting and believing in the competency and character of Virgin Islanders…and because of the spirit of leadership and the rank and file is opened and willing to listen” according to him.

Mr Skelton-Cline went on to state that the, “VIP listens to the voices of women and men of god and the people who do not have a title or a certain last name.”

Concluding his conversation with our newsroom,  the newest VIP Member stated, “for our democracy and Territory the NDP of which I use to be apart are hundreds of miles adrift from some of their fundamental values including a government in the sunshine.”

    Young man, you've done well.

For you will realize that all of the current members of various parties were at one point members of other parties.

Do your best for the country!

We are trying to put a solid team together. This is no time to gamble with no one caught up in the PORT investigations. Mr Skelton Cline candidacy will contradict our campaign about transparency and accountability. We must face the facts!

It is very important to comprehend whatever you read. No where in the article did it state that the individual is seeking political office. He simply said that he “joined” the party.

If he wants to sit in on a few meets that may be alright. Just don’t let him run for election, don’t follow any suggestions he makes, and check on him, ‘he may be a spy’.

I don't care what political party they are affiliated with, they are all cut from the same bale of cheap polyester material. Liars, flip floppers, schemers and menopausal men trying to be reverlant. They were all in bed together plotting on the people of this Country backs. They are the ones who is taking this Country down with the greed and blame game bull**it. Power and greed will destroy eventually.

Claude you want tot do good, Come Clean about the Pier Park Project. Tell All, who did what and When. We need the truth about the $83 million spent. Otherwise you will just be another Edmond Maduro. Andrew you were on a good track. Like you have the Public NDP, Thise who make a lot of Noise and the Real NDP, Those who run things from behind the scene like the IC, Keep things in that order.

Claude needs to come off that high horse he is on both in the church and personally. To succeed in politics you need to get to the level of the people you looking to for votes. You up there sitting on this high horse, with the fake smile always pretending and passing people straight ain"t going get you to parliament as a minister. I know your mother brought you up to be humble.

And it continues..Virgin Islander continue to fight each other rather than supporting each other. I don’t know why I thought Irma would change the hearts and minds of our people. Instead it appears that many of our people have gotten worst. Sad to say the least. When will be ever learn? Together we stand divided we fall. Mr. Skelton has a right to join which ever Political party he feels will look out for the best interest of the people. It’s his right just like it is the right of those who criticize him.
