ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Owner of Necker and Mosquito Islands in the [Bristish] Virgin Islands, Sir Richard C.N. Branson recently had a holiday to remember in the Cayman Islands, although not for the best reasons.

The popular billionaire recently disclosed on social media that he was bitten by a stingray and was left bloodied after walking into a bullet-proof glass door.

According to The Telegraph, Mr Branson revealed he had a holiday to remember, for all the wrong reasons, after he was injured by a stingray and then The Virgin billionaire said he had been “in the wars” in the Cayman Islands, admitting his holiday “didn’t quite go to plan”.

He was joined by renowned ocean conservationist Guy Harvey for his swim with some stingray when he was bitten by one on the wrist.

“We were surrounded by stingray, as well as stunning coral reefs and tropical fish,” he wrote in a blog post.

“But the rays were feeding all around, and they mistook yours truly for their food. Suddenly I felt a painful sensation on my wrist – they have one heck of a painful kiss! Rays are actually part of the shark family, so I've now been kissed by a shark.

“We made it back to shore and I put on a brave face as I got some treatment.

“As my anniversary was coming up, I popped into a local jewellery shop to look for a gift for Joan [his wife]. I strolled purposefully into the shop, not noticing there was a glass door in my way. Crash!” he explained.

“I hit the glass head first and I got this painful cut above my left eye. It was bullet-proof glass! We quickly set up a makeshift operating theatre, where I was given three stitches.

“By now I was feeling rather woozy, and quite embarrassed, but I was still smiling.”

He said he is now “well on the road to recovery” after his memorable holiday, The Telegraph reported in a February 12, 2016 publication.

    Here we go. Attrack by sting ray.. People the sting ray didn't come out of know where and attacked anyone - in this case Richard. It was a feed just like the Bahamas Where hundreds gather to be feed by tourist. In the rush of feed it got a nibel.... As for the cut above his eye? As he was walking outside of a building he didn't notice the extra clean glass door and walked right into it. Something that can happen to anyone, something that happen to myself. He's Richard Branson, humman, but superman (made from Steal). Every job or fun activities have its rewards even if we're please with them or not....

    I read some of these comments, and I must say, the BVI is filthy with hate and envy. A Christian community THEM SAY. Laugh at these people. That's why you will never get anywhere in life. Whoever you are making envious comments about " who cares" etc. He is a celebrity in the BVI, and so he will make it on the news when something happens. Stop the hate!
