Showtime Band draws the crowd at Road March victory party!
Saturday night, August 24, 2013 and way into the early morning hours of Sunday August 25, 2013, the halls of Club Parogon was filled to capacity as persons turned out in their numbers to celebrate Showtime Band's 2013 Road March win. It has been the 7th time around that the title was won by Showtime Band. The feat was achieved with the popular song 'Sort Out'.
“I really want to say thanks to everyone who turned out last night, it was a great night of celebration and I am so happy that our fans came out in such numbers and they had a great time.”
Several persons also had nothing but complimentary words to say. “Man I had a blast. Showtime always got my card,” said Marvis Blyden. Sharon Grenville said she came out because victories are to be celebrated. “For a good celebration we have to get people because music is for people. We had Showtime, the St Thomas band, DJ Taz. What more can one ask for? Ottley and Boss, they doing a good thing with this band and there is no doubt that they are the best in the BVI,” she said.
“I want to see this band going places. They have what it takes to be on the international scene, I want to see them out there. This is we own band and they have some of the best on their team, Boss call them the ‘A’ team and he right. I looking and listening for that next move of them going out of the BVI and creating waves man. We got it, they will do it, that much confidence I have in them. And they must let me know when they going cause I'm going too with them,” said a very excited Rayon Neal.
The night saw performances by the Volume International Band out of St Thomas, USVI and Big Daddy Shaw of a band called Jammers. Once the Showtime band took to the stage, the crowd went wild and kept calling for more. However, with the cops on the ground, there was no overlapping of time as the dance had to come to an end at the stipulated time.
‘Boss’ said, however, there is much more in store as this weekend they are set to perform publicly again. “On Friday we will be playing for the annual closing of Quito’s in Cane Garden Bay and then Saturday we head for Virgin Gorda. So the party, Showtime style, continues. Our fans love us and they always want us so we promise always a good party wherever we are.”

It had a decent crowd, a good bit of whom were volume fans might i add. And one other thing this is the first time in a long time a road march champ had a celebration where fans had to pay
if you want to compare more people left tola to go vg for the jam than was actually at paragon.
You won roadmarch and to thank your fans you hold a jam...no go on the beach and just have something or find somewhere and just hold something to say thanks. but there was no thankyou.
furthermore sort out was already popular hook. boss just made a song off it. the real test to see who is the better band is the way they go from here till the 60th. It matters not to me which band does what but the least could be done is given accurate representation. It was not a sellout crowd nor packed..wasnt enough people left that go to jams on tortola anyways they were all in vg.
not hate just the facts
