Shots fired in EE; Police retrieve spent shells

EAST END, Tortola, VI- The silent night of East End, on the main island of Tortola, was disturbed by gunshots on July 22, 2019.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, several shots were heard sometime before 10:00pm.

This was confirmed by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today, July 23, 2019.

According to Police Commissioner Michael B. Matthews, police responded to the report of gunshots in East End around 10:00pm.

"The scene was forensically examined and a number of spent cartridges were retrieved."

Commissioner Matthews also told Virgin Islands News Online, there were no injuries reported and no one has been arrested.

"Our inquiries continue in this regard," Commissioner Matthews said.
