ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Following a school break for the Easter vacation, action in the BDO Primary Schools Football League resumed over the last several days with the Seventh Day Adventists and St George's in great touch.

On Monday night, the SDA U-7's beat Enid Scatliffe Red 2-1 thanks to a brace of goals from MVP Devon Jones. Shimei Peters pulled one back for the home team late in the second half and although his effort saw him named as his team's MVP, it wasn't enough to force a share of the points.

Earlier in the week they had stopped Enid Scatliffe Green by a 2-0 scoreline. Jones had also earned MVP honours and had opened the scoring on 7 minutes. Millyssa Williams added the second goal in the 20th. K'Jeri Thomas was the Enid Scatliffe Green's game MVP.

Enid Scatliffe Orange had suffered a 2-0 defeat by Althea Scatliffe. Andre Smickle smashed a quick fire double salvo in the 16th and 17th minutes to be named as MVP and secure the points. Marquise Watson took the honour for the Oranges.

Last Saturday after First Impressions secured a creditable 3-1 victory over a Pelican Gate/ Alexandrina Maduro combination team courtesy of an MVP Jalen Prentice hat trick, it was all about St Georges Primary School.

First MVP Stephan Deleon scored the only goal of a tense victory against arch rivals Cedar School in the U-9 Division. Michael Pallandino, who was named MVP for Cedar School, hit the bar during a second half onslaught that saw them go close to equalising several times, but unable to find the back of the net.

In the U-12 Division, St Georges then beat Cornerstone 2-0 with goals in each half from Sheldon Harry and then Chadrick Evans. Harry, along with Leonard Griffith, was named as MVPs.

The last game of the weekend saw a forfeit win for St Georges against Robinson O'Neal.

In other U-12 action, Leonora Delville and Cornerstone battled to a 0-0 draw with Eric Bobb and McKimbo Demming being named as MVPs.
