ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Featured on the latest edition of Karia J. Christopher’s ‘Real Talk’ television programme, Tara K. Stoutt uncovered much of her inner side and so did Nicole A. Wheatley aka Drummer Girl.

The duo was the two youngest to be featured so far on the TV show which is aired weekly on CBN Channel 51 and can be said to be the most opened and plain spoken thus far.

Stoutt is prominently known in the Virgin Islands (UK) as a fine caterer while Wheatley is a respected artist and businesswoman who many have never seen in a dress or skirt.

It was at one stage of the programme when the host complimented Wheatley about her comfort sitting with her legs crossed that Wheatley repeated twice, “I am a woman.” Wheatley, never shy about her choice of public display in the way she dresses, has been labeled as suspected to be bisexual, however, at no stage of the programme was this question posed directly to her.

She, however, at several stages made it clear that she does not like to fake, “What you see is what you get,” said Wheatley.

Religious talks - Read out of SDA!!

Stoutt spoke of her growing up in the Adventist faith as a strong follower and believer. “I am no longer a part because I was read out.” And while noting that the foundation is still there, she said that the base is not.

“I do believe in that higher being. My fear of God that they instilled in me growing up is still in me but…I am religious but I am still searching,” said Stoutt who also made it clear that her Bible is a big part of her life as she often goes there for comfort and guidance.

Wheatley on the other hand described herself as not anti-religious but ‘free spirit’ despite being raised in a religious environment. “To me religion was placed upon people as a divider…religion is doing its main purpose and that’s dividing people,” she said.

Social Media influence

While Christopher made it clear that her daughters have no privacy on social media, “I have two girl children, I check their Instagram pages very often.” Wheatley opined that many children post on social media because they cannot go to their parents on certain issues.

“We live in a Christian society where certain things can’t be said and questions asked ….. so they (Youths) find it more easy and more stress relieving to post on social media where they can probably get advice from their friends or someone else.”

She complimented that by saying the root of the problem has to do with parenting. This had to do especially with the topic of ‘sex’ where Wheatley suggested that parents fail to have open and frank talks with their children when it comes to that topic. “When a child starts to query about something then is when we as parents should talk to them… and let them know the real of life,” she added.

Google for parenting advice

On the other hand, Stoutt feels that if a parent is not at comfort or able to comfortably address a topic with their children in an informed manner they should turn to, “Google. I if don’t know what’s going on with my son or even myself, google,” Stoutt said, adding that with traditional parenting it’s time to, “Hold some and you move ahead with the rest.”

The show is expected to be re-broadcast at 8:00 P.M. on CBN Channel 51 today, February 2, 2017.

I was just thinking the same thing!!! Those people in that particular church need help. Tara is not the first or last from in there to get a child out of wedlock. Unlike many others in that church, she kept hers child and didn't run St. Thomas. As far as I;m concerned all of them need to be read out cause majority of them young girl sleeping with other people husband and bold with it.

Tara while I do respect you and love you as a sister I must say that I disagree with you painting a bad picture on the church. You must know that the church has standards. God has standards too. Whenever anyone has committed a public sin, they must repent, re-baptize and re-dedicate their life to God. The door of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Carrot Bay has their arms wide open for you to return. God has his arms wide open for you too, but even after you were read out as you say, God was not on the forefront of your mind to return after he has done so much for you and spared your life from a near death situation. You remain where you are because that is where you are comfortable. Do not make it appear as if the church just read you out. Its up to you to return if you are spiritually inclined to.
Your success so far is not base on your own merits, think about it, it’s the same God who have brought you this far. Good luck in your endeavors…

I guess you missed the part where Ms. Stoutt said she was God fearing and still rely on her bible for comfort and guidance. Reading is fundamental. You so called christians should take your heads out of your asses. I'm sure you yourself are filled with sin, whether publicly or privately.

I wish i had seen your comment sooner. When I first heard about the whole "read out" situation in reference to Tara i was so perplexed. I did not know that churches had the power to dismember someone for any reason. Do yall really think this is what Jesus would do? What bible do you read in this church? And if the church is so ready with arms out stretched to receive her, why did the same church cast her out in the first place? Are her sins greater than those of any member who has NOT been read out? I am a devout Christian young woman and I am honestly disgusted with this practice. And furthermore do you honestly believe that her attending your church again or ANYONE'S church for that matter, is what will save her soul? I will stop here because I can go on and on I'm disgusted.

What exactly do you mean by they read you out the church.....So, who gives them the right to "read her out the church" If she was an active leader or active member of an auxiliary I could understand because that wouldn't set a good example to others but was she not allowed to come back and participate in corporate worship as part of the congregation?

Listen people. Rasta is the way. Selassie I is the truth. No your history. Read, research and understand. Church tell the slaves to be humble and lawyer to their masters because when they die they will be milk and honey in the sky waiting for them. After a while slaves realize this teaching will keeping them in slavery forever. So the start planning, and rebelling and fighting for their freedom hence we are free today. If wasn't for wise slaves. Churche will still have us in slavery today.

This bull. Read out. Nonsense. Humans will make mistakes, will do wrong those are the people the church is there for. What use is the church if they are there just to welcome the good, the perfect, the save. I hate church. Hate with a passion, these are some the reasons why. Pastors want to be God. Pastors collecting big checks, Christians taring down each other, when none is perfect, Christians passing judgement when they too do wrong.. be yourself let God be God. He is understanding and forgive God. He says all have sins and fall short.

In Biblical times when people sinned they were able to plead forgiveness and be accepted. It is and should never be the place of the church to determine a person's level of faith and/or if a person deserves to be an active part of church when they've sinned, if that's the case then start from the top and don't stop reading out until the church is empty. the walk is for each of us to take alone. The church is supposed to be a place of education for those that seek and a support system but all sinners alike. If man is going to assume the role and responsibility of God then disband because you obviously no longer need a God above.

@family.... that one hit your spot eh???Your response was full of judgement. "but even after you were read out as you say, God was not on the forefront of your mind to return after he has done so much for you and spared your life from a near death situation." Who are you to cast judgement on anyone to say what their relationship status is with God???? If you did look at the interview broadcast on television you would realize that there were quite a few juiced up quotations in this article. As a christian "Seventh day Adventist" you should have made it your duty to say a prayer with/for her and encourage her with a word or two on her spiritual journey. Not one time did she say that she disagreed with the fact that "God has standards." It is how things are done. Speaking from experience rarely do the ministers/elders call to encourage those who fall short publicly. I can speak boldly because I have experienced this first hand."I too lived in an Adventist home where i was molested and church members knew that that elder was molesting myself along with other youths in the church. It was covered because of "Status" He wasn't read out of the church, but relocated to another church so don't get me started on this Adventist Topic. If that is her experience let the girl speak freely about her experience. You have a different experience kudos to you. Pray for the leaders in the church that they execute God's will with a passionate heart aiming to win souls and not in a scornful manner pushing individuals away from the church.Fortunate for me i was able to get out of that situation. I pray God delivers that elder from his unrighteousness. You should be worrying about your personal relationship with God rather than judging someone's relationship with God.

I agree with you 100%. Leave Judgement to God. Tara they can read you out of the church but they can not read you out of heaven. Stick with God and it does not matter what church you go to so just do your do. I admire you girl and you are much younger than I am. Love that you kept your son. God bless you and I am praying for you! They only read out who they want its a pick and choose story in my opinion. From one Adventist to another.
