  Its "JOUVERT" which means before day break... we are the only ones in the world who feel the name should change to rise and shine.. i feel its a disrespect to the history of carnival/festival tradition.

    You must be young and no nothing of the BVI from slavery. It was never called "Jouvert" in the BVI for many reasons.. Look it up and then comment dumb a$$.. the disrespect comes from you who know nothing about your cultural heritage!!!

  Most of those folks are from different islands including your Tortola... I have seen PLENTY muffins as you say in Tortola parade....I smile and shake my head whenever I see them coming up the road playing Mass in BVI parades........however, have fun Muffins, Tuffins, Skinnys, Thicks, Beer Belly Full gal & boys/men or whatever/whomever.....LOL......have fun and embrace the you are regardless.....Jump up and have a wonderful safe Carnival!! Don't mind muffin man talking mess,,,he too is a MUFFIN....you see the name he use right, Muffin man...truth be told.....jam back and roast a time....forget about "muffin man" with his silly/foolish chatter!!! :)
