ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A High Surf, Small Craft Warning and Wind Advisory has been issued for the Virgin Islands effective today, Sunday, January 12, 2020.

The warnings come as hazardous sea conditions continue to affect the territory, creating rough seas for both small craft and sea bathers.

According to weather information, winds forecasters have indicated that the conditions may persist up until Tuesday going into Wednesday, January 15, 2020, based on present forecasts.

Residents and visitors are being urged to exercise caution while using beaches.

Beachgoers are also encouraged to pay attention to alert statements issued in order to safeguard life and property.
