‘Reject VIP & NDP!’ - Conrad A. Maduro
“As it now stands, the Virgin Islands is being converted to a haven and playground for the rich while at the same time due to poor or bad economy, Virgin Islanders and others due to poverty are being forced out on the way to extinction,” he said, delivering a message to the nation from the UP last evening October 2, 2014 on ZBVI 780 AM.
“The facts are there to verify this and one of the many proofs of this is the sale of property by the banks,” he said.
“And all of lack of vision and bad administration by the Government, both political parties namely the Virgin Islands Party and the National Democratic Party are blaming each other. And the fact that they are blaming each other is evidence that a wrong or evil has been done and they both are guilty or bad administration or Government which cause the need for good Government and a need to change them both,” he said.
“They are the cause of the problem and if both are not removed there will be no solution to our problems among which are our economic, political and social problems,” Maduro said.
“These two parties are blinding themselves into believing that they are superior as is expressed by their motto," he said.
He also spoke of discrimination, which he said he ongoing in the Territory.
“I have raised the matter of discrimination because they are incidents to that effect. It is rumoured that a developer has expressed his or her satisfaction that a local is too close to his or her development and it would cause devaluation [of property],” he said.
“This is a derogatory statement and in my opinion it is a threat to force the locals to live on reservations sometime in the future if the will of such developers is fulfilled,” he said.
“It is also rumoured that the local person expressing his intention to obtain a piece of Crown land and someone’s remark was such property is for the rich,” Maduro said.
“These two examples given here are acts of discrimination and where there is discrimination and in particular racial discrimination together with a denial of equal rights, opportunity and justice there can be no order, peace and good governance,” he said.

What you did was to set the month of June for all work permits to become due and to hold them until school children came out of school to send them on the jobs and send we Island people home also any Island woman who got pregnant around that time you send them to their homeland to have their baby. Some of the ladies did not make it to their homeland but have their children on Airports in St. Kitts and Antuiga.
Some folks are too young to know but I am old enough to remember and i will personally campaign against you with your arrogance and stupidity. You don't like Island people and we won't vote for the United Party.
I personally think he is right, ayo voting in NDP and VIP, going thru the same s..t with each party and then when dem mess up ayo stupid self complaining and blaming dem, You ppl control the government, ayo tola ppl talk tooo much and no one stands up for what is right, ayo busy choosing sides and fighting each other down instead of seeking for the betterment of the country and for each other as well as yourselves, United you guys should stand, You guys choose ppl that have a passion for change in all areas in the country not just agriculture or education, or because is family. Put God in the decision making.
There is no doubt in my mind that you have pointed some very important problems and some sources of the problems, but I did not see you pointing out the solutions.
