ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) is looking for contractors to undertake repairs to the Bathroom at the A. O. Shirley Sports Ground in Road Town, Tortola.

This is according to a press release issued today, November 9, 2018, by the Government Information Service (GIS).

According to the release the RDA is inviting eligible bidders to submit tenders, which it says will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures.

Interested contractors have until Thursday, November 22, 2018.

According to the invitation for bids there is a proposed bidders’ conference and site visit on Tuesday, November 12, 2018, at 1:00PM.

The A.O. Shirley Grounds, which serves as the effective the home base for many successful Virgin Islands (VI) athletes, had suffered significant damage during the Category 5 hurricanes that hammered the Territory last year.

The facility saw its northern wall being downed in addition to the pavilion’s roof being blown off.

The Bathroom—for which the RDA is now looking to repair—had also sustained significant damages.
