R&B Star Jessica Jarrell coming for 2017 Summer Sizzle BVI!
The event, which remains synonymous with beauty and style, kicks off on Thursday, July 20, 2017 and runs through Sunday, July 23, 2017.
The annual event spearheaded by Summer Sizzle BVI founder Terry T. Donovan, a Virgin Islander living in New York, USA, attracts fashion lovers, travel enthusiasts, designers, models, press, and celebrities from the USA, Canada, Europe, the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean – “all eager to experience the runway shows, fashion exhibitions, sailing excursions, island tours, sumptuous dining, and fabulous entertainment,” according to the press release.
Going green
This year, Unite BVI has partnered with Summer Sizzle BVI to bring awareness to Ocean Conservation, Recycling in the VI, and Business as a Force for Good. Summer Sizzle BVI is committed to help preserve our environment by “going green” and offering Unite BVI a stage to inspire community involvement with projects that support initiatives within the umbrellas of entrepreneurship, community and the environment, the release stated.
In addition, Green Tech has partnered with Summer Sizzle BVI to provide green products for the event.
Mr Donovan told our newsroom from New York City “this year we are happy to announce Jessica Jarrell, an American R&B/Pop artist and actress with her newest hit single, ‘How Was I’ who will give an exclusive performance at this year’s event….. Jessica has opened for some of the world’s biggest stars such as Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson,” he said.
This year the launch of BVI SWIM will take place on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, in Road Town, Tortola and is expected to turn up the heat, with designers presenting their swimwear, and resort collections, followed by a Private Poolside Party.
Big Time designers
The event founder confirmed that the designers lined up for BVI SWIM includes Haus of Pink Lemonaid from Los Angeles, Nikini Resortwear, Aqua Couture by Roger Gary, Andrew Nowell from New York, Shernicia Mayers from St Vincent and the Grenadines, and VI designers The Islander by Andrea Wilson and Duo Collection by Nadia Winter and Natalya Thomas, among others.
The Global Glamour Runway Show scheduled for Saturday, July 22, 2017 also at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in the Capital City, Road Town has been a central part of Summer Sizzle BVI, featuring Ready-to-Wear collections from both established international designers, and emerging star designers.
The press release stated that “following this year’s show attendees can attend a Runway to Retail reception, offering them the opportunity to order looks directly from the runway, aligning with the global see-now-buy-now concept that is fast becoming the normal practice in major fashion markets around the world.”
Other designers
The designers lined up for Global Glamour Runway Show will include Anthony Franco, LA celebrity designer, TAAKK, Kics Document and Arch Bes from Japan, Miriam Budet and Eddie Guerrera from Puerto Rico, Yumi Katsura, Cesar Galindo, Andrew Nowell from New York City, Akeem Stanley from BVI, Irredescent Fashion from St Kitts, Cole Facts by Michelle Cole from Guyana and New York. The kids will rock the runway by fashion by D’Obvious Rose, by Saphhire Autumn Rose, a talented nine year old designer and MINI ME, one of the VI’s leading children’s store, the release announced.
