Pumpa & Fireman go head to head at Club Opium tomorrow, Sept. 6
Headlined by the energy man from the USVI, Pumpa and Fireman Hooper of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, along with the Showtime Band and DJ Dre rounding out the performances, this event is certainly billed to live up to its hype.
Similar in styles as entertainers, Pumpa and Fireman will battle it out in what is expected to be a heated showdown that may call for fans coming fully hydrated to keep up with the action.
In fact a truly exciting schedule of events has been unveiled for the coming weeks at Club Opium that is sure to cement this venue's growing reputation as the focal point for entertainment in the Virgin Islands.
Tribute to Daddy Friday
Next Friday, September 13, 2013 will see the reunion of Jam Band as they present a tribute performance in memory of their late great lead singer, Daddy Friday.
And on September 27, 2013 Club Opium will host a red carpet celebration of musical talent called the VI Allstars. For the first time in the VI, all the lead singers from the main bands will share one stage in a club. Performances will come fromBoss from Showtime,Pumpa form Puma and the Unit, Raul ‘Juggo’ Sprauve from VI Showtime, Dante from Volume International, Kylo from Stylee Band, Shaw from Jammers and Chicken from Prime Time.
The month of October brings two major events, with a two-day Libra Fest organised for Friday 18 and Saturday 19, 2013. The first night will feature a DJ Clash among DJ Bertrum of Tortola, After Dark sounds/empire of St Thomas and DJ Chubby of St. Croix, while the second night will feature bands with VI Showtime and Volume International. A package deal is available for this duo of events, or patrons can opt for single night tickets.
Jamming in Pink!
Also in October, Club Opium will join in the fight against Cancer with a 'Pink Jam' headlined by the Stylee Band. Patrons wearing pink will get discounted entrance fees while the club commits to making a contribution to the BVI Cancer Society.
While acknowledging a dip in the VI nightlife recently, Club Opium's management expressed confidence that they have the events to encourage resurgence in this sector.
Formerly the Beach Club Terrace, and now under new management, the re-branded De Spot/Club Opium looks to provide more than just great entertainment, boasting a great lounging area, delicious food, an excellent bar that boasts happy hour giveaways regularly and back and roadside decks.
