Professional Serbian player is new VI national tennis coach!

“We've chosen a female, who we hope will inspire girls to play tennis. Currently, we have a boys team and not enough girls,” commented BVITA President Carol Mitchell.
Ms Lukic, who has played alongside the likes of fellow professional Serbian players Jelena Janković, Ana Jovanović and Ana Timotić, will be based at the Long Look - East End Tennis Club, where she will help to build a national team.
“Ms Lukic played for her country, Serbia, a number of times alongside the best players in the world. She was their number 1 Junior and ranked the number 6 International Tennis Federation Junior in the World and has participated in all of the 4 grand slams, with her best result on the grand slam tour a quarter-final in Wimbledon ITF,” noted Mitchell.
“28 year old Lukic, currently ranked at number 383 by the Women’s Tennis Association, has won 8 titles so far - her first three titles already back in 2006.”
Last week Lukic beat Jennifer Elie (USA), Petra Januskova (Canada) and Laura Pigossi (Brazil) to reach the main draw of the $50,000 event in Charlottesville where she lost 1-6, 2-6 to Elizaveta Ianchuk of Ukraine in the 1st round.

Welcome Ms Vojislava Lukic don't mind the negativity
She is swimming in shark infested waters.
I am a parent whose child is a member of this tennis club. I am appalled that such positive news which can only uplift the community and our kids is being torn down by such negative responses.
