ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Today, March 1, 2019, our roving camera caught Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) about to enter his official vehicle, a 2016 Cadillac Escalade that was used by the former Premier, Dr D. Orlando Smith of the National Democratic Party (NDP 1) regime.

On the road to change and renewal, Hon Fahie—the third Premier of the British Overseas Territory of the Virgin Islands—has even started to hold office hours at the Central Administrative Complex.

VIP in Action

On Wednesday February 27, 2019, Premier Fahie announced his Cabinet of Ministers and today, Friday, March 1, 2019, the Ministers were sworn in.

The Virgin Islands (VI) General Election was Monday, February 25, 2019, and was an overwhelming victory for the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) when they took 8 out of 13 seats forcing a collation on the Opposition side.

VIP only needed 7 seats to form a government, however, they took all the At-Large seats knocking out two party Chairmen including the embattled former Minister under the NDP 1, Mr Myron V. Walwyn and Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM-NDP2) Leader, Mr Ronnie W. Skelton.

So with all the kick up it had when this vehicle was bought, it made it seem like the previous Premier took tax payers money and bought the vehicle for his personal use. Now it shows it is Government’s vehicle. It’s official good going Premier Fahie.

That will be his biggest mistake to go buy a new high end vehicle right now once this one is working properly. Doing so will expose a big chip on his shoulder. He.campaigned on priorities and buying a new vehicle right now will be a bad start don't care how old this one is
Hey it.still got people living in shambles. Do everything to get everyone and everything prepared for next hurricane season
