They have taken ‘service stations’ in the Virgin Islands (VI) to a new level.
Not only do they have the cheapest gas so far on the island at $3.70 for grade 87, the service station features a car wash where you can leave with your automobile shining, ice for sale, a self-service vacuum cleaner, and free air.
There is also a Clearwater dispenser to fill your bottles with water.
If that was not enough, you have a fully stocked convenience store, where you can also get via a ‘hot’ Deli, your pizza, coffee, sandwiches and hot dogs while topping up your phones.
They have not stopped there, as on site, is also a restaurant that provides both indoor and outdoor dining where you can eat local and Caribbean cuisine either indoor with the Air Conditioner (AC) or outdoor on the upper deck while overlooking Sea Cows Bay.
Coming soon, there will be an ATM courtesy First Caribbean International Bank, and yes, they do carry ULSD Diesel along with 91 premium gasoline.
'The Boys' Service Station had an official opening ceremony yesterday Saturday July 28, 2018, at 12:00 noon that included a ribbon cutting ceremony and speech by Third District Representative, Honourable Julian Fraser RA.
Boys to Men?
Hon Fraser told friends, families and other well-wishers at the ceremony, he was proud for 'The Boys’ investment in his District.
He noted that at least two of the owners, Rodney A. Simmons and Enos Z. Aaron, are no strangers to businesses in the Third District.
He also said—jokingly—he was not sure how much longer they would want to be called, “Boys” as the difference between a man and a boy is “the price of his toys.”
Perhaps, ‘The Boys’ are on the transition from 'Boys to Men,’ but one thing is certain, the public, customers and others, remain impressed with the level of investment and services the new Boys Service Station will be providing, as the Territory’s economy struggles to recover after two devastating Hurricanes in 2017.
The Opening Ceremony programme was chaired by Honourable Melvin M Turnbull (R2).
