CASTRIES, St Lucia, WI- The Virgin Islands Leader, Premier and Minister of Finance and Foreign Affairs, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) is heading a delegation at the 40th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in Castries, the St Lucia capital city.

The meeting started on July 2, 2019 and will end on Friday July 5, 2019.

Honourable Fahie, over his short four months in office, has forged closer ties with the Region and he continues to be embraced by the political class of the Caribbean and Latin America.

A regionalist?

The Chairman of the ruling Virgin Islands Party took some time from the CARICOM packed agenda to pose for a photo with a few of the  region’s powerhouse leaders, such as Jamaica Prime Minister, Hon Andrew A. Holness; Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister, Hon Keith C. Rowley and St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Hon Ralph E. Gonsalves.

Elected as the British Overseas Territory of the Virgin Islands’ Third Premier on February 25, 2019, Hon Fahie continues to enjoy the affection and respect of the Caribbean region.

The Outgoing CARICOM Chairman is St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, Dr Timothy S. Harris. He will be replaced at the meeting by incoming Chairman, St Lucia Prime Minister Allen M. Chastanet.

    I love our Premiee. I voted for him but he needs a stylist so to speak. He is always looking sloppy and oversize. Big guys can have clean cut suits tooo! First impressions are key! Especially when representing a country. Love you Hon.Premier.
