Penn & Farrington welcomed to the 22nd CAC Games!

VERA CRUZ, Mexico, –The Virgin Islands welcome ceremony jointly with Aruba and Bahamas was held on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at the World Trade Center in Vera Cruz, Mexico for the 22nd Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games.

In attendance were BVI Olympic Committee President Mr. Ephraim Penn and chef de mission of the games Mr. Cleave M. Farrington. 

Speeches on behalf of the organizing committee of Veracruz were given by representative of the General Director of the Organizing Committee Lic Carlos de Jesus Sosa Ahumada who welcomed the participating countries. 

Chef de Mission Cleave M. Farrington spoke on behalf of the BVI and thanked Mr. Sosa Ahumada for his warm hospitality and wished him success with the games. 

After all speeches were made, the flag of the BVI was raised and signaled the closing of the welcome ceremony. Prior to closing, there was an exchange of gifts between BVI and Veracruz organizing committee.

 The Games officially opened last night Friday November 14, 2014.
