Pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle in St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS, USVI — A pedestrian has succumbed to injuries at the Schneider Regional Medical Center on Thursday night, March 7, 2019, after being struck by a vehicle earlier the same night, USVIPD Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced today.

The incident occurred at about 7:55 p.m on Krum Bay Road when A vehicle was headed west in the area of Adelita Cancryn Junior High School, hit the man while he was crossing the street, Mr. Dratte revealed.

The victim was then rushed to the hospital for medical attention where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

The victim was identified only as a 52-year-old Hispanic male, as next of kin had yet to be notified as of midday Friday, according to the release.
