Pastor Skelton-Cline takes leave after NLBC distances itself from him!
In a statement issued to the media today, Thursday, February 14, 2019, through a spokeswoman, Zoe J. Walcott, she noted that members had issues with the Pastor's “general behaviour.”
Does not reflect the NLBC
The press statement noted that there has been “numerous complaints put forward by members of the church and persons in the general community.”
While the spokeswoman did not list the names of the trustees, the Church is headed by Bishop John I. Cline, an uncle of Mr Skelton-Cline.
They noted, “The board seeks to assure the public that any views, expressions, opinions and reflections of Pastor Claude Skelton-Cline—an active assistant pastor at NLBC—whilst on the radio show Honestly Speaking, on any political rostrum or in any other public fora whilst on the 2019 campaign trail, in no way reflect the views of the board, members, management and staff at NLBC.”
I am willing to go!
Meanwhile, in his response, Mr Skelton-Cline a former Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority dispatched his own press release on the matter.
He stated, “I accept, clearly, my positions are and always will be mine. Furthermore, for the sake of the Kingdom and the local church, I will exercise the strength to be weak and take a sabbatical. However, I will be in worship as usual.”
It remains unclear how the relationship will be with Pastor Skelton-Cline and the hierarchy of the Duffs Bottom Church.

God will not let him beg bread once he is speaking the truth. Nothing that is in the dark will not remain there, it will be brought to light. We need more people like him and that is why we need the whistle blowing legislation as soon as possible.
Sick of them with this behavior.
Touch not god's anointed.
I totally agree with you. Now the Church is wrong for how they handled this matter. What do they say now..
The Church members need to do more than just go to ask God for forgiveness after doing wrong the night before. Talk up when things are not going right in this country. Work hard to help fix it.
What a drama indeed.
What example is he portraying for the members of his church.
Don't get me wrong I love to hear him preach the gospel; however he needs to set a good example.
He should have never divorce his first wife in the first place.
She is such a sweet lady.
