DUFFS BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- The 4th Annual Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League on Sunday August 28, 2016 at the Save the Seed Energy Centre will see only two games being played instead of the usual triple header.

According to a press release from the League today, August 25, 2016, the games have been reduced to two to facilitate an early completion of play on Sunday.

“Due to the BVI Electricity Corporation moving another generator on Sunday August 28, 2016 from Port Purcell to Pockwood Pond, Tortola, the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League is required to reschedule the starting times of our games on Sunday only,” the press release stated.

It further noted that the Power is expected to be off from about 9:30-10:00  P.M. therefore, the League has taken the decision to postponed the Junior Game to allow for the two Senior Games to be contested.

Momentum will therefore be taking on We Dem Boyz at 5:00 P.M. while Splash Brothers will clash with Bayside Blazers from 6:30 P.M.

All managers, players, coaches, referees, table personnel and fans are being asked to make a serious effort to be on time. Coaches and managers are also being advised to inform their players of these new times for Sunday’s games.

The League did not announce when the postponed Junior Game between Ghut Boys and Swaggers will be played and League Commissioner Derrick R. Varlack could not be reached for comment up to post time.
