ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With the demands of life increasing every day, the need for being mobile grows and here in the Virgin Islands is no different.

On Saturday November 19, 2016, Nibbs Auto Sales and Parts gave the public a taste of its brand new SsangYong jeeps, mini-vans and trucks they are now bringing to the Virgin Islands.

The launch was done at the Sunny Caribbee Parking lot on Waterfront Drive.

In an interview with Virgin Islands News Online, Operations Manager for Nibbs Auto Sales and Parts Mike Carbonneau said, based on the company’s reputation, he is confident that customers will get value for their money.

SsangYong Motors is based in Korea and is on a drive to expand to Latin America and the Caribbean. The vehicles are fully loaded automatic ranging from small, medium and large.

Innovative and impressive product

“So we basically have what 85 percent of the people in the BVI ask for, we are not a car dealer, we are an SUV dealer. They are one of the most innovative, respected automobile companies in Korea, so it says a lot about the company, the quality of the product is fantastic and I have been in the business for about 37 years and I can tell you I was really impressed by what I saw. And for me to be impressed by a product it takes a lot,” Mr Carbonneau said.

Five-year warranty

Carbonneau said SsangYong Motors gave Nibbs Auto Sales and Parts a five-year warranty, another feather in their hat, he noted.

“Which is unbelievable! That means when a company gives five years on a vehicle it means they really stand by their product.”

The norm he explained is about 3 year’s warranty.

When asked whether customers who will pay between $25-35,000 for a vehicle from their franchise will be satisfied he responded with an enthusiastic “absolutely,” adding that staff is currently undertaking the necessary training, they have a very up to date computer system for diagnostics and the parts for the vehicles will be available.

“Customers will be well taken care of,” he vowed.

Mr Carbonneau informed that the company will carry six lines of vehicles: four will be coming in next week and the other two will be here in December.
