Next HoA sitting set for June 3, 2019

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The House of Assembly (HoA), the Virgin Islands Parliament, will meet again on June 3, 2019, according to the Clerk of the HoA, Mrs Phyllis Evans in a press release today, May 22, 2019.

This will be the Fourth Sitting of the First Session of the Fourth House of Assembly.

The Order Paper for the Monday June 3 HoA Sitting has not yet been made available to the local press.

The HoA last met on May 17, 2019 and was highlighted by protests from a handful of persons against the ‘fast track’ Residency & Belonger Status Regularisation Programme initiated by the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Government of Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1).

There were also protests from a small group of Fourth District Residents, calling for the swearing in of Representative-Elect, Mr Mark H. Vanterpool.

The HoA, which will commence at 10:00am, will be carried live on CBN Radio 90.9 FM, CBN-Television Channel 101 on Flow TV and can also be followed online at www.cbnvirginislands.com.
