ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Sharing the view that inspiring positive change is a necessary tool for personal and community development, Nagico Insurances has offered support for the 3rd annual TEDx RoadTown event slated for March 23, 2019, at the BVI International Arbitration Centre.

Launched in 2009, TEDx is a programme of locally organised events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe.

TEDxRoadTown is comprised of a group of professionals who desire to have their community become part of the greater TEDx community. They all have a favourite TED Talk that has changed their lives in some way.

According to a press release from Nagico Insurances, On February 5, 2019, Nagico Insurances presented a cheque to Organising Team Member and Licence Holder, Abigail O’Neal, in support of the TEDxRoadTown event.

“It is due to businesses such as Nagico that we will be able to provide a forum for members in our community to share ideas that matter, and encourage deep discourse,” Ms O’Neal commented.

This year’s TEDxRoadTown will be held under the theme “The Time Is Now”. Making the donation to Ms O’Neal was Supervisor of Customer Service Department, Ms Shaquilla K. Smith.

“Nagico Insurances believes this platform, which gives persons an opportunity to inspire others through their own experience, is commendable and should be encouraged. Humanity has accomplished the impossible when inspired.”

Ms Smith added Nagico Insurances is pleased to be of support to the TEDxRoadTown initiative and noted she was pleased to hear this year’s event will feature one of the youngest speakers, teenager and humanitarian Farrari Khan, who is the founder of Roots and Shoots BVI.

“Well done to the organisors of this wonderful event and on behalf of Nagico Insurances, I encourage everyone to support TEDxRoadTown and the various speakers this Saturday,” Ms Smith added.
