ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Following the 24 hour rainfall on the main island of Tortola between August 7 and August 8, 2017, NAGICO Insurance has deployed its staff to assist its customers by visiting several areas throughout the Territory that was badly damaged.

Mr Shan Mohamed, Managing Director of NAGICO stated that the company has deployed a dedication team to assist customers during this difficult period, adding that customers wishing to file claims can contact the office at 541-1271 or 540-3070:

"First of all, our thoughts and prayers are with many families affected by the flood on Monday. This is perhaps one of the worst flood events the BVI has experienced in recent years and with it comes greater challenges for our customers. We want to assure all our customers that we are working tirelessly to have you returned to some level of normalcy as soon as possible."

Speaking with our news reporter, a loyal customer of NAGICO, Jason C. Frank stated that the staff from NAGICO Insurance are very "devoted" people because they have assisted him following the heavy rainfall that occurred on Monday August 7, 2017.

He said, "I want to thank the staff of NAGICO Insurances for helping me and my family through these rough times. Y’all are really good people."

Another resident, who wish to remain anonymous, commented that she is very grateful for NAGICO Insurance because without them, she would not be able to get her vehicle fixed on her own.

"They assured me that I will be able to get my vehicle fixed and I was happy to hear that because I depend on my vehicle for my job," said the customer, adding that she encouraged other persons to sign up for NAGICO Insurance.

The managing director also stated that although his staff were affected by the flooding, they are dedicated to helping their customers throughout the community.

"Our main office was also flooded, but we have found ways to continue operation given the needs of the community at this time. Once again, our team has accepted the challenge and are doing a remarkable job because we have been receiving calls from as early as Monday evening. This event underscores the need to always be prepared, especially during the hurricane season.”

NAGICO Insurance has made a commitment to settle all claims as quickly as possible in an effort to restore financial stability to their clients as soon as possible.

Clients are reminded that the sooner their claim is reported, the quicker they will be settled.

Of course not. However, this is an added burden the insurance companies along with lost revenue from the implementation of NHI.
