Mitch Turnbull in vehicular accident at Meyer's Estate

MEYER'S ESTATE, Tortola, VI- (Post Time: 10: 10 A.M.) No one was injured but two vehicles will definitely need repairs to their wheels following an accident in the vicinity of Meyer's Estate this morning, January 14, 2013.

The accident occured just around 9:15 A.M on a blind corner and involved a private vehicle with license plate PV 20843 and a taxi with license plate number 742.

Mr Melvin Mitchell Turnbull aka Mitch and family were reportedly in the private vehicle heading in the direction of Road Town while the taxi was heading in the direction of Cane Garden Bay when the collision occured.

The front right wheel of the taxi was damaged while it appeared that the front right axle of the private vehicle may have sustained damage.

Traffic was completely cut off on that road while police did their investigations and awaited the arrival of a wrecker.

    Why is it so often that a TAXI is involved in these accidents? I thought these guys were supposedly professional drivers?

      Its not our fault we have drive for you and still ourselves ,else there will be more accidents on the road .

        Some of those taxi driver don't have any respect with people life on the road they drive as if they own the damm road.

      I was wondering the same thing. My heart jumped for a moment when I saw it, then to see it's a miner fender bender..big bold red with the man name plastered. WoW, what can I say? SMH!!

    Lord,......Mr toddy didn't deserve this for the New Year. Finally got the jeep back on the road again after months of it being down... now this. Mr Toddy is one of the nicest, most generous Taxi drivers out there. I hope all goes well in these hard economical times.
