‘Many uncertainties’ force postponement of School League

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- School children will have to wait a little while longer to get into football action as the BVI Football Association’s (BVIFA) School League, originally scheduled to get underway on March 13, 2018, has been postponed.

The BVIFA, on its Facebook page on March 8, 2018 said the postponed was due to “many uncertainties” surrounding the preparation of the opening of the School League.

“In light of this, please be advised that the FA School League Opening is postponed until April 6, 2018.”

The BVIFA also appealed to participating schools to submit all team rosters.

National League action today

Meanwhile, play in the BVIFA Senior National League continues today with 3 games.

At the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground, VG United meet Islanders from 4:30 P.M. while over on Virgin Gorda, where a large crowd is expected out, Old Madrid tackle home team Sugar Boys from 3:00 P.M.

Rebels will face Sea Argo from 5:00 P.M. at the same venue.
