ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- An irate man spent the night in the lockups after he proceeded to vent his anger by smashing the property of another person on August 27, 2020.

The peace and quiet of a Free Bottom neighborhood was disturbed last night, with at least one neighbour expressing they feared the worse of a domestic dispute and summoned the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

Our inquiries revealed that at around 10:00pm an irate man was seen and heard using projectiles, smashing windows, doors and other parts of a home in Free Bottom.

Home faces wrath of irate man

Our information is that the accused had a misunderstanding with a youth that resides in the home and, to avoid hurting the youngster, the man decided he needed to vent and did so on the house, with the intention of paying to have it repaired.

A neighbour said they witnessed police arriving on the scene and managing to have the irate individual stop the act but shortly after, in the presence of the police, he returned to damaging the home.

The man was subdued and taken into custody.

It is said the man allegedly told police he was going to stand the cost for the repairs but needed to be allowed to complete the damaging act.

A female occupant of the home allegedly told police she was confident the man was going to take care of the repairs and for that reason she did not see the need to call in the police.

        People all over the Streets, thats no true.. I drove through town and the few people i saw were at the market shopping.. dont kno where u get your info from..or where u saw the people if you really see people

          I am an essential worker and there are plenty vehicles on the street, people hanging out on their blocks, no masking wearing on a daily basis.

    I had this happen with a tenant once. Broke most all the windows and glass doors. The neighbors told me. I called and said I wanted to visit the house. The tenants put me off for 5 days, and when I went, all the repairs were done!

    These women so acccustom to been on their phone 24/7 when their man or husband is out to work, talking to Tom dick and harry, on all kind of site, So now lock down, they feel out of their comfort zone because the man is home and create all kind of problems for the man, hoping he would leave the house in frustration or leave to make peace, just for them to jump on the phone...These women... The Creator already warned us about them... plus they are very good at playing the victim game...Yep! So, its very naive to think that its all women glad their husband or man is home to spend time with them,, most are not..
