Man receives gunshot wound to hand

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Police are investigating the circumstances which led to a Fort Hill man being shot in the hand.

The injured man sought medical treatment at Peebles Hospital after being shot.

It is alleged that around 8am yesterday morning, the man was walking from his home to Freebottom when he heard two loud explosions and then realized that he had been struck in the hand. He stated that he saw no one in the area at the time.

Police are asking for witnesses or those who may have information about this incident to come forward and assist with the investigation. Persons can contact any officers with the RVIPF through its three-digit non-emergency number 311.

Persons can also call Crimestoppers at 800-8477. Crimestoppers is a Miami-based service and allows for persons to provide information anonymously.

    A busy road, no gunshots heard, no persons seen making off, no descriptions, no gun handling skills, and no imagination. Hopefully will be charged with wasting Police time.
